I didn’t send it back. First, the waiter spoke no English and I didn’t want to put in the grueling effort to attempt explaining. Second, I didn’t want to take the chance of someone contaminating anything else I might order.
I learned a lesson. Don’t go back again.
If he can take your order than he can speak, or at least understand English. If I ever get in a spot that I even get an inkling that someone might spoil my food in any way, I will settle for whatever I’ve consumed and get up and leave. I never get rude with any of the waiters, or preparers or restaurant staff. I always calmly and tactfully express why I’m dissatisfied and patiently tell them what they can do to make things right. I rarely ever need to actually leave. Trust me, if it’s a place with any decency at all they will try to do their best to satisfy their customers. Never allow it to go to an argument but if it does, than it’s time to leave.
