It’s been a bitter lesson to many republicans, including me.
Sometimes, being ‘correct’ about an issue or a campaign approach is not enough to be elected.

Sometimes, one has to work with the majority of voters, who may hold different values and beliefs, and are not inclined to change those values or beliefs before the voting commences.

The crux of the issue is why do people hold different values and beliefs?

Number one factor is media liars creating the illusion that certain ideas are "majority" opinion, when in fact they represent a very small fringe minority.

The Asch conformity experiments demonstrated that 80% of people will claim to believe something *IF* they think the majority believes it too.

The Media-liars create the illusion that liberal ideas are popular, and you are weird if you don't agree. This has an effect on the electorate, and causes it to skew way further to the left then it would naturally be without the propaganda pumped into society every day through mass communications.

I keep telling people. Fix the media-liars problem, and you can fix all the other problems in the nation.
