I hope you’re right, but that’s a Western cultural perspective. From the view of her parents, it’s probable she’s as wanted as a litter of stray kittens. Also, in order to get her out of the house, as in married, they have to come up with a dowry. If the dowry is insufficient, her new in-laws may burn her to death.
