My coworker talked to one of the men who picks up our trash.
He said that the waste company is required to put out bins for trash, greens, and recycling, but that they are not required to process them separately.
In other word, at least the trash and recycling go in the same truck.

I really don’t care if anything is recycled or not, just as long as they pick up the barrels and take them off somewhere to bury, dump, burn or whatever...just get rid of it....

And we get to pay for that extra bin and pick-up. Waste Mgmt. doesn’t let you opt out of recycling, at least not in my county. And they have a monopoly for the non-city residents.

Yep, I found out the same thing. I no longer recycle. Everything goes in the regular garbage container.
