“unconstitutionally and illegally detained.”
I’d be interested in seeing a list of people that Trump unconstitutionally and illegally detained in his previous four years in office. Would there be even one name to put in there?

At the meeting in Helsinki Putin demanded that Trump must give him 12 US intelligence people. Of course that was a nonsense demand, but Trump was still new at politics at the time and said “I’ll have to consider it” in the press conference instead of the proper FU!, that it warranted. It was a huge scandal at that time.

No one suspended habeas corpus in Trump's first term of office. Trump could, and should, follow Lincoln and suspend that writ due to foreign invasion. This is what the ruling class elites fear: accountability for their lawlessness. The problem, of course, is that it is the Congress which is constitutionally authorized to suspend the writ in such cases, not POTUS. Lincoln's critics made much of this argument, yet he is on Mount Rushmore, coins and currency. People will support this.

But, if they committed actual crimes, then how is it unconstitutional or illegal?
Frankly, if they didn’t, he’s just going to fire them. Maybe bring cases against them in civil court to decimate their resources.
