Personally witnessed this happen to a once successful technical college. These morons think that all training should be computer-based with minimal hands-on.

This dovetails into the above. There was a time in the not too distant past that an aptitude test was given as a requirement to enter a particular technical training program. This is no longer the case and hasn’t been for some years. The result, obviously, is a lack of competent techs in their respective fields.
