Biden and Trump may forget names or personal details, but here is what really matters in assessing whether they’re cognitively up for the job (barf alert)

For example, a deliberative approach to creating an immigration bill might start with causal reasoning to understand the multiple factors influencing the current border surge and the positive and negative effects of immigration.

Multiple factors: like the first one of Trump's border control policies that Biden cancelled. Then the second one he cancelled. Followed by the third one he cancelled. That was beaten by the fourth one he cancelled...

Biden has been criticized for not recalling details of his personal past. This is an error in episodic memory, which is responsible for our ability to consciously recollect personal experiences.

But he does a pretty good job of recalling non-details of his personal non-past. But he has always done that since he was the only one who got a full scholarship to his law school, took about 50 percent more credit hours of classes than he needed to, won the political science award at University of Delaware and graduated in the top half of his class in law school. Oh, wait, none of those happened.

“and Trump”

Bingo! Sneaky attempt to paint President Trump with the same tar brush!

On a different note:

Neurologists agree, however, that Biden’s episodic memory errors are within the range of normal healthy aging [...]

That's supposed to reassure us?!

Regards,

BS = Bull S—t. Bachelor of Science
MS = More of the same. Master of Science
PHD = Piled higher and deeper. Doctor of Science

We need a new degree for this drivel. Perhaps to borrow from Star Trek per Scotty, “The Crystals are driving us at full warp lies and Bull S—t she can not take it anymore.” “Captian she is about to blow.”

If Trump mispronounces someone’s name once in a year, and Biden thinks Israel has a border with Mexico and falls on his face 4 times and makes 10 gaffes a day for a year, it’s the same thing.

“...Biden regularly displays the deliberative dispositions that characterize good decision-making...”

Yes, like deciding to take showers with your 11 year old daughter. Some real good decisions there. /spit

As for the 2024 presidential candidates, Biden has extensive knowledge and experience in politics from more than 44 years in political office and thoroughly investigates and discusses diverse viewpoints with his advisers before reaching a decision.

That's the assumption he bases his opinion on, but what if it's not true? What if the decisions are largely made without him, and his input is largely irrelevant or counterproductive?

The other problem is that the political environment has changed radically and drastically. A history professor or a cabinet maker or a painter can keep going on in his field by relying on years of experience. If a president approaches politics with the assumptions of the 1970s or the 1990s, he's going to make a lot of mistakes. Biden hasn't shown much ability to take in new information and adapt to new conditions.

Biden has changed his views over time. That's been to follow his party and his advisor, but he doesn't appear to have the ability to adapt his mental map of the world to current conditions. Even in the short run, Biden hasn't shown the willingness or the ability to correct his destructive foreign, economic, and energy policies.
