CAL Fire San Mateo-Santa Cruz Unit helped rescue a stranded kite surfer, they announced on social media on Sunday.
The kite surfer was rescued off a beach south of Davenport Landing. CAL FIRE says he used rocks on the beach to spell out "HELP."
A private helicopter spotted him and they called 911.
The kite surfer was safely extracted and did not need medical attention, per CAL FIRE on a social media post.
Their, children, see? Spelling is important! If he’d spelled it “HEPL” he’d still be there.
In before the Far Side cartoon.
Tom Hanks?
I’m too old to believe in Santa Cruz.
Ping
Our tax dollars are a complete waste.
He should have called me and I would have lowered a rope to him and pulled him, then taken him to Ferrell’s donuts for coffee and donuts in Santa Cruz...
I drove right by him on Sunday as I was returning from Barbara’s Fishtrap in Half Moon Bay after my favorite Fish and Chips w/ Clam Chowder.
There
You should take him to Humble Sea for a beer. I haven’t been to Barbara’s for a while. You need to try the Scrumptious Fish & Chips food truck in Santa Cruz, it’s amazing.
Coulda saved some effort by spelling “SOS”.
But then then he woulda run the risk of some millenial in the chopper not knowing what that meant.
Where is the truck located on weekends?
If it were Tom Hanks there would be a child sex slave with him.
Well, on Saturdays form 11 or 12 to 6:30 they are at the Humble Sea on Swift St. on the West side of Santa Cruz. They are at Steel Bonnet in Scotts Valley 4-8 on Friday.
Where is the truck located on weekends?
i found about Humble Sea when I sold Hangar One Vodka our services and the manager of Humble Sea on Alameda was friends of theirs and called me up to help.
Thanks. I couldn’t size it right.
I haven’t been to that one, but there’s one right on the beach in Pacific Grove.
“ Barbara’s Fishtrap in Half Moon Bay ”
Good place, been there a few times .
Love the drive down Hiway 1 south of Sodom and Gomorrah .
Thanks! I read some long article about the Far Side. What made a lot of the jokes funny was the implied, but not stated end result of the joke.
