Why tetanus when we have antibiotics?

Because the symptoms are caused by a toxin from the bacteria. Once symptoms appear, you’re screwed. The antibiotics will help you clear the bacteria but not the toxin load. Maybe you’ll die, but if you don’t, you’ll have a 2-3 weeks of hell and wish you did.

It’s way better to prevent it.
