The US Supreme Court dodged a bullet when his nomination was not acted upon in 2016. But he has been most spiteful and resentful since then, using his position at DOJ to subvert and abrogate the law nearly as much as if he were actually on the court. The good thing is, he is essentially term limited, and if he were on the court, he would be almost beyond reproach.
