They back engineered this from the black contact lenses that all the little grey aliens wear.

Also, I'd like this night vision for my Gatorz.

Your post just gave me an idea.

Use this coating on a telescope and we should be able to see infrared objects much clearer in visible light!

Like adding an amplifier to the Webb Space Telescope!

We could see even farther back in time!.................

They might let in too much light and go all green when a light is shined on them. I’d certainly like it on a scope or a pair of nightglasses. My dogs constantly bark at critters during the night. I’m out in the mountains with not much light pollution. I was just looking into night vision devices yesterday.

i looked briefly at meta materials and surfaces for antenna applications,decades ago.

Never really got my mind wrapped around it.
