I’d say the same for the left and right.
I disagree there are conservatives who act like this. Just not as many!
Much of this is simple human nature no one likes to be wrong. Given we all have cognitive biases to a conclusion to a great or lessor degree. One has to be self aware enough to recognize that and actively insert doubt into one’s certainty. Rule of thumb: Always test your assumptions. And a new “fact” on a subject could change your view on the subject. Note: Assuming the “fact” can legitimately be validated and is not circular.
