If these people had ever soaked up any Old or New Testament, they would find their folly unseemly at least, and repulsive and odious at best.
That is why all earthly law and order really boils down to whether or not you accept Scripture.
Proverbs and Wisdom are excellent. And everything our Lord said reinforces the Old Testament.
So glad you posted this.
You hit on an excellent point.
One cannot recognize lies and deception unless the truth is known first.
I remember a teaching which explained how bank tellers used to be trained to recognize counterfeit currency. The newly hired teller was only permitted to handle authenticate bills. Once the feel of genuine currency had been established, then they could handle all currency incoming. By learning the genuine, when a counterfeit was in the stack, the different texture of a counterfeit bill would immediately stand out. I’ve never been a bank teller, so I cannot confirm if this was accurate, however, the simple truth remains; “if we first don’t know the Truth, then we are easy prey to the lies and deceptions”.
Thank you for reminding me of the teller parable/story from years ago.
Continue to hold fast to the Truth. =o)
