There are two kinds of leftists: the ignorant and the ideologues.
The former you can argue with and stand a decent chance of having a reasoned discussion.
The latter, don’t bother. He or she is Deep State.
I disagree. The more troubling are the ones who think they are rational centrists, but get their main diet from NPR, NY Times, etc. they’ll believe they are fact based, challenge any contrary fact to the core. An acclaimed loony leftist admits they aren’t fact based, and can laugh with / at you, on how they don’t care
