Ah, yes, phrenology. Just the other day I was thinking about a bit in a science-fiction book by Simon R. Green, in which a group of phrenologists have taken to enhancing desirable traits in patients by using hammers to raise lumps in the appropriate places on their heads. Funny as hell.
