Set the thermostat at 80.

I have it at 82.

I live in a humid area so I deploy dehumidifiers in the home. These suck power as well and expelled warmed air (work like a heat pump to remove moisture) but I've found that dryer air in actually tolerable when warmer.

That’s why I went out and bought a window AC unit so the hot air would be expelled outside.
