Join a co-op if you can. Those are usually the lowest rates. I’m on CoServ right now and they’re reasonable. Before that I was on Grayson/Collin Electric and was paying under 10 cents per kWh.
That's a pretty good rate. We're a few towns outside of Austin, and we're paying around 10.3 cents per kWh. The rates inside of Austin appear to be in the 14-16 cents range.
