And they will likely take away Secret Service protection.

They'll try...but I doubt they'll succeed. Senate filibuster.

And they will likely take away Secret Service protection.

That would be a Bill of Attainder.

Of course, who cares about legality and Constitutionality any more.

Epstein style "suicide" to follow.

I've been saying for a while they will kill him. Now we see a way they can get the job done and get away with it.

Pretending to believe it was suicide will be a loyalty test, much more so than with Epstein.

My initial response to that remark was “They can’t do that” but given this whole travesty and persecution of President Trump - why not?

If a minor State court can try a Federal case, then they can certainly take away DJT’s federal SS protection.

The Democrats want to take away his Secret Service protection but they don't have the votes in the House to pass the law. Maybe Biden will do it unilaterally and defy any court order that what he did was illegal.

I wouldn't rule out Merchan ordering Trump to jail immediately although I think it is more likely he will either sentence him to prison but allow him to remain free on bond until the appeals are exhausted, or restrict his ability to travel (perhaps having to get permission from a probation officer every time he wants to leave Manhattan).

He has been convicted of 34 felonies for falsifying business records when (1) they were not falsified, (2) he didn't do the entries personally, (3) these were misdemeanors for which the statute of limitations had expired, and (4) Bragg had rejected the idea of prosecution until Trump announced he was running for President.

Bob Costello pointed out that Bragg withheld exculpatory evidence from the grand jury in order to get the indictment.
