That’s giving too much credit to Pontius Pilate. At least Pilate washed his hands to the whole thing. I’d compare him closer to Ciaphas here.
Maybe Caiphus is a better example, but Pilate is the one who had Jesus beaten by the Roman ways. He thought the Sanhedrin would think that was enough. They wanted more. The left wants more from Trump. They want him dead.
Donald Trump is our modern day scapegoat. All the sins have been put on to him.
We do have only one Messiah, and that is our Lord Jesus Christ.
I am surprised to think of Donald Trump as being chosen, but in some ways, there are similarities.
