Don’t think he can pardon himself from a State Conviction...only Federal. This should be overturned on appeal at some level but too late for the election and this was their goal all along.
If he wants to, he can pardon himself, even if New York doesn’t recognize it. There’s nothing they can do about it because he will be President. Things are going to be different in Trump’s second term. I think he feels he wasted too much time and energy worrying about what the states and the democrats told him he couldn’t do.
