You’re right and I wish that we could have a more Disneyfied culture on this point.
However, it comes down to biological differences. Men do not care as much about a woman’s ability to provide, but how exclusive she can be with him. Women care more about a man’s ability to provide than whether he can be lifelong exclusive to her.
I’ve been a member of a marriage/divorce fight, just out of interest, and one thing I founnd is that, if a man isn’t highly experienced by the time he’s in his twenties women don’t want him.

Some women may but there are plenty out there who would be thrilled to find out he waited for her alone.
They they can become experienced TOGETHER.
God expects the same kind of sexual purity from both men and women. *HE* doesn't have the *boys will be boys* and *women want an experienced man* excuses men use to justify their exploits.
