In the last 3 years, only one friend has ever mentioned my blast warning email and he confessed he wishes he had listened to me. He’s the one with bad tics and tremors now. He revealed recently that there’s a history of epilepsy in his family so he may have already been neurologically fragile and the jabs (only 2) pushed his immune system over the edge. I should read about what to do if someone has an epileptic seizure in front of me. Get his tongue out of his airway is all I know from basic first aid training. It’s a shame in his case because he was very active, fit and healthy. He didn’t need the jabs but took them so he could attend football games and travel.
I’m mostly grateful that two sisters and my son took my advice, and my son did it at great cost to himself. He just moved into his first apartment after schooling and started a new job as a linesman following considerable training. He was off work for 6 months, losing all that pay and some seniority. Some unusual company circumstances and a clever mediator got him his job back. My other 5 siblings have never mentioned my warning, though we don’t talk a lot. One had 3 strokes after her second jab and the youngest went from barely detectable endometrial cancer to stage 4 in only 5 months.
I’ve reconnected with many of my friends but none of us ever mention the jabs. One of them, a registered nurse, still calls me an anti-vaxxer. I think she does it to push away her inner fear that I was right and that her new and persistent heel neuropathy has nothing to do with the 3 jabs she took. My vaccinated friends in the bridge community continue to crash all around me. Cancers, Parkinson’s, heart issues, and shingles are the most common. To a person, they all say that getting old comes with illness. (*sigh*) I just stare blankly and express sorrow at their new conditions.
Melian, I hope your family members will also wise up and forgive you for making your own health care decisions and trying to guide them through the covid minefield. As you found out, it never pays to be right too soon.
