He was very deep and thought provoking but also had the common touch. I heard him say that he loved going to UFO conferences and discuss such topics. Hiser said that he found that particular audience more open to difficult truths than the church often was. He was always a favorite on the Coast-to-Coast AM radio show and had said that he was convinced that Roswell was a government psyop to deflect from whatever was really going on. The US government didn’t want the public to know that they were testing advanced WW2 German technology and would rather let the public think it was an alien craft.
I agree about Heiser’s persona being that of the common man. Made him very endearing as a presenter. He also had a great sense of humor. His books are so filled with information that my small brain really has to concentrate to get it all in. I love CS Lewis as well and have similar small brain issues. Have to slow myself down, re-read, and ponder to get it. Kind of like the George Washington Carver story when he prayed for God to teach him about the Universe and the Lord finally pared it down to the simple peanut. These men are so steeped in knowledge it challenges me....
