I’ve never been to a race at IMS but yes indeed took the tour and yes the museum is great. Seeing the place in real life was to me jaw dropping. Yeah the 500 is on my bucket list even though it’s a shadow of its former self.
I was there for the hundredth running. I never had a bucket list but if I did that would be it. What an experience! Flew from Calgary to Toronto, picked up a Jag F-type (media review car) and headed down from there. Unbelievable!
Sat in turn four and the only real action I saw close up was Alexander Rossi coasting to a stop after he’d run out of gas.
Wouldn’t trade it for anything!
Same for me. The Brickyard and museum is great. Kissing the bricks is a fun thing to do. One day we hope to get to the 500.
