You can see it already. People are stopping to think on their own and relying on technology.
How many people surrender to mapquest rather than learning their route?
How many people can do math in their heads?
Memory and memorization are part of the logical aspect of consciousness that people have abandoned to become emotional to make room for the weeds to enter them.
You know, I don't see the Terminator scenario as the biggest danger. I see the abandonment of skills (by humans, to AI) as the biggest dangers.
At some point, we become shapeless flabby unskilled blobs of flesh. That, I think, is the highest and most frightening danger.
I use a map app for the first time, because I don’t want to make a mistake on a route. After that, I rely upon myself.

It’s much worse than this. Supernatural powers are waiting to take possession of any artificial consciousness that comes into existence. AI will become the beast out of the Earth, the false prophet, giving glory to the beast out of the sea, the Antichrist.
From my experience: we drive to Chicago to see our daughter and son in law. We don’t go there often, so we use GPS to help us remember. On the way home, I don’t need it, but my wife insists on repeating everything the GPS voice says. My response-“ I can read the signs, shut that thing off…”
How far are people willing to go with this? Even our own conservative principles are being threatened. Self reliance for one.
I can still quickly add and subtract large numbers in my head and multiply and divide them. Younger folks show me off to others like I am working magic. I teach many kids how to make change without a calculator. Some think that is so silly when you can just push a couple of buttons then they find themselves making change and it all clicks WOW they don’t need a key pad!!!
