If you have BlueTooth or WiFi enabled on your phone it will pick up and log every network and every device you come into contact with. This was discussed on FR after January 6, 2021 when people were wondering why commuters who passed by the protest were getting arrested and jailed.
Proximity was guilt so far as the unconstitutional dragnet was concerned.
