"Overzealous DEI cop"

I'm honestly curious how you came to this conclusion. Is it just your default position that every time someone makes a mistake they are a DEI hire without actually looking? Because if you look you can easily see that Det Gillis is a white guy.

“but to me it appeared that the cop grabbed the side of the car, was pulled a few feet, “

The video doesn’t show the cop at the car till he bangs on the window.

He's a "traffic cop", which makes him one step above a mall cop.

“The video is on X, the cop lied in his report.”

Another pole camera. Shows another cop leaving area several seconds before car starts moving. Arresting officer seen several feet away after car has only moved a few feet. No way the cop was dragged or assaulted.

No, he’s a detective who was on a traffic detail (probably on overtime) during the busiest week ever for that locality. I guarantee you no cop in that department was granted a day off during the PGA Championship. They were all working for the tournament. Regardless, he’s a white guy. Not DEI. You are welcome to your opinion, but the facts have to be correct.

And Schefer didn’t break any rules. Ok.

Nothing that would warrant the officer immediately pushing him up against his car once he exited, handcuffed him, arrested him and marched him off to the squad car. All without even asking for identification and over a misdemeanor traffic violation if true.

Complete violation of Scottie's 4th Amendment rights under the Constitution.

He certainly wasn't barreling along off road over the median as you previously claimed on another thread. Witness states have already verified that.

What exactly do you have against the guy anyway? Is it the fact that he is a professional golfer, rich and famous, while you are just a jealous, pathetic louser spouting your crap on the internet?

He won’t pay.

He'll pay but any charges will be a misdemeanor traffic violation, even tho all the witness testimonies are in his favor.

He has every right to sue the local cop agency for violating his 4th Amendment rights and the unlawful arrest and detainment, but he won't.

Due to his public profile, he has nothing to gain from it and just wants to put this behind him with no public fanfare.

On the other hand, if it was me, I would immediately be in touch with a civil rights attorney.......

He won’t pay. Every charge listed is trumped up.

His lawyers will take it to court if not dismissed.

Sure they will but neither side would want to take it to court. So the best solution is to just issue a misdemeanor traffic violation, which is nothing, and move on.

Which would you prefer, pay a misdemeanor traffic violation ticket or attorneys fees that requires both you and your attorney to waste your time in court?

I've admitted before that I've been arrested {multiple times, been to jail, always my fault}.

But, some cops are pricks that use their position to get away with being a bully and some beat the hell out of me.

I'm not looking for sympathy because if it wasn't for my actions, I'd have not been arrested, but the cops that are bastards get cover from "The Blue Line".

I back the cops, but all are not saints.

“I back the cops, but all are not saints.”

Both good and bad. A Georgia cop had me dead to rights for speeding. Having a Florida tag and knowing the reputation of GA cops I feared the worst. A technicality as the sun had just gone down behind the trees and I had not checked local sunset time somas to determine that night time limit had begun.

Only mentioned that my taillights were out. Followed me about 8 miles to the next gas station to get my fuse replaced.

I would prefer clearing my name in court.

Scheffler’s income is based on his reputation. He could lose more than the few bucks to have his lawyers clear him.

No fanfare? Already videos of him being handcuffed and CNN headlines of him dragging a cop.
