I agree about the “Ick” factor with her.
As a guy, I found it was better to respond in a non-committal way.
Years ago, I quit dating as it was harder getting out of relationships than into them. That’s also why it is better to not rush sexual intimacy as that created a bond too fast.
Being single for many years in my thirties, it was a meat market out there. Now, I’m done dating. Married and death do us part, even if she kills me!
