Yes the law is very clear, but you are naive, if you think they won’t get a judge somewhere along the way to order Biden’s name on the ballot.
Should this happen? No, it shouldn’t...
However, I just don’t see any way the Democrat candidate will not be on the ballot in OH in November.
Remember in NJ a while ago now, where the candidate, got caught in some corruption scandal or something and as such was heading for a loss, and the Dems got some judge to allow them to change their candidate?
I will be hard pressed to believe that the Ohio general election ballot will have no candidate listed for the Democrat party for President.
Should it be blank if they don’t name it on time? Certainly.... but will it? Highly doubtful.
I’m thinking “unpledged Democrat electors” would work.
We haven’t seen something like that since the 1960’s.
Some judge will just say to put “Democrat candidate “ on the ballot and be done with it.
In presidential elections you are not really directly voting for a candidate, you are voting for a slate of electors pledged to that candidate.
