Biden administration gave Cuban officials a full tour of Miami airport's security system

Who the heck made this bad decision? And how does it differ from something an embedded Cuban operative in the U.S. might do?

After the arrest of Ambassador Manuel Rochas on espionage charges for Cuba, a logical question was whether there were one, two, many, Manuel Rochases (and Kendall Myerses) over at the State Department?

What else can one conclude with whoever it was at State who made a decision like this?

According to the Washington Times:

Homeland Security gave a delegation from Cuba a look behind the curtain at airport operations at Miami International Airport, in a move critics say may have given the hostile communist regime inside information on security protocols.

Diario Las Americas reported that the delegation was given a tour of the Transportation Security Administration’s facilities at the airport, including where the agency has new X-ray technology.

TSA acknowledged the visit but cast it as normal international cooperation.

...and...

TSA said the visit was coordinated with the State Department. U.S. officials were taking them all over into the innards of the Miami International Airport where they got to look at the layout of the airport, could examine its security systems, may have learned how it gets staffed (so as to get their operatives in), could examine the technology used (the better to jam it), and could get the names of personnel for blackmail purposes or pro-Cuba proclivities.

People who know airports think the whole thing looks like a disaster in the making.

The Obama administration likewise gave tours to the Cubans at MacDill, as I recall.
And, at the last minute in the Obama admin, they gave tours and held meetings with Palestinians in Washington with Brennan’s CIA, some on these delegations whom were known to be tied with terrorists including Hamas.

Yes. And it smells like an Obama in-your-face operation. I worked at that airport 60 years ago. Senior FReepers will remember Eastern, Pan Am. National, NorthEast.

In contrast, American military doctrine is to maintain a standing airborne division with three brigades, with one of the three at a standing ready condition to go parachute jump into hypothetically any airport in the world and hold it, with air support, until help arrives via the captured airport runways.

Who knows what the Cuban commies are up to.

In 2000, the Cubans jammed the equipment at NY’s LaGuardia Airport. And that year the Cubans and Iranians were giving speeches to bureaucrats in each other’s countries about how “together, we will bring down the United States.”

“You do not invite a country as a state sponsor of terrorism to visit any installation, let alone a sensitive airport, as is Miami International Airport.”

People who know airports think the whole thing looks like a disaster in the making.

People that know the Bible recognize that some things never change:

"At that time Mero′dach-bal′adan the son of Bal′adan, king of Babylon, sent envoys with letters and a present to Hezeki′ah, for he heard that he had been sick and had recovered. And Hezeki′ah welcomed them; and he showed them his treasure house, the silver, the gold, the spices, the precious oil, his whole armory, all that was found in his storehouses. There was nothing in his house or in all his realm that Hezeki′ah did not show them.

Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezeki′ah, and said to him, “What did these men say? And whence did they come to you?” Hezeki′ah said, “They have come to me from a far country, from Babylon.” He said, “What have they seen in your house?” Hezeki′ah answered, “They have seen all that is in my house; there is nothing in my storehouses that I did not show them.”

Then Isaiah said to Hezeki′ah, “Hear the word of the Lord of hosts: Behold, the days are coming, when all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have stored up till this day, shall be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left, says the Lord. And some of your own sons, who are born to you, shall be taken away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”

Then said Hezeki′ah to Isaiah, “The word of the Lord which you have spoken is good.” For he thought, “There will be peace and security in my days.” (Isaiah 39:1-8)
