I’m glad you do, though. It reminds me of how much we have in common. Career Navy dads (mine did 28 years), both buried at ANC, big families (I’m the firstborn of five) and if I remember correctly, you also went to high school in Fairfax County?
Our dads could very well have known each other.
I agree, FRiend...funny. I occasionally have to drive somewhere, and there is a billboard for “Allegra”, and every time I pass it, I think of you!
I lived in Fairfax before my family went overseas, and we came back and lived in Prince Georges County near Andrews AFB on a small Naval Communication Station in Cheltenham.
Life takes you on circuitous paths...I always like to tell the story my mother related, so we lived in Yokosuka, Japan, and my mother was with a friend walking around off base, and she saw a sailor walking towards her...it was some guy she went to school with.
There, on the other side of the world...the circuitous paths just crossed! So, yes...I like to think it is possible that our parents knew each other!
