So it was just my imagination that six years later Reagan said no amnesty without a wall. Reverend, we will have to agree to disagree on that point.
Reagan may have been lying, for or against, but when time came for the amnesty bill, he didn’t just say we need this and demand amnesty now like either of the George Bushes. He did get them to agree to a wall. But like abortion, I’m sure the democrats realized the republicans never disagree with the result. Because republicans have to put on a show for their constituents and appear to be on the people’s side not side with the democrats.
