Good one, similar to the Scavi Tour under St. Peter’s Basilica, my favorite! Building on top of pagan ruins was common of course.

Fascinating tour...I highly recommend it. I admit I got kind of lost in all the layers as we ascended back up through the centuries.

And who knows what lies even further past the Mithras altar..
