Even if it was the 2009 H1N1 pandemic, nobody called that episode “The Pandemic.” The term “The Pandemic” is seared in everybody’s minds as the COVID pandemic starting in 2020.
So, even if he was technically correct, his imprecise use of the language makes him look like an idiot and Republicans POUNCE!
