The day after Mom’s 98th birthday, she fell and broke her hip.
The ER doctor asked the normal questions.
Mrs. Xxxx, do you know what day it is? She told him the exact date. (Sometimes I can’t even do that - LOL!)
What is your birthday? She told him xx/xx/1924 without missing a beat.
Mrs. Xxxx, who is the president? My sister-in-law was with her. She cringed, and thought “Oh no “. Mom spit out, “Do you mean the REAL President, or the guy in the White House eating ice cream cones?”
No more questions.
I still don’t get what it has to do with Detroit.

There was a swine flu outbreak, another Chinese illness, during the Obama administration. I mentioned it in a March 2020 submission to my local Gannett newsrag, and surprisingly, they published it. But they did delete one paragraph; I’ll let you guess which one.

In 2018 a late night so-called comedian said the the economy would have to be tanked to prevent Trump’s reelection. Looks like he may get his wish. Any pain YOU suffer will be worth it, in their eyes.
I would not be surprised if I learned that Democrats in a back room somewhere are busy strategizing how to spread corona into the less affected parts of the country. Never let a crisis go to waste, after all.
After the Russia-Russia-Russia, Ukraine-Ukraine-Ukraine and impeach-impeach-impeach hoaxes it would not be surprising if the administration had treated the initial reports as more fake news designed for political effect. He never called the outbreak a hoax, only the media’s reporting on it.
Bottom line is, Trump could cure cancer and they’d accuse him of depriving the doctors and other medical personnel who specialize in treating cancer of their income. Lord preserve us from fakes, phonies and frauds!”
