a damaged air valve that may have let manure pass into the supply. how would a properly designed system even allow that possibility?
Definitely scratching my head to the point of hair loss on that one. Would be interested in some followup / clarification.

Damaged air valve= thats probably a mis quote, it was probably an “ air operated valve” , maybe an air operated “ back flow preventer”.
