Sparkling vinegar?

What? You're making Texans look bad (lol - j/k). It can only be called champagne if it comes from the Champagne region of France. Zonin Prosecco is an excellent sparkling wine from Italy.

Lost Oak Winery in Burleson has in the past made Sparkling Gewurztraminer.

My wife and I just got home from our semiannual jaunt to Fredericksburg. There must be 100+ wineries along SH 290 now. Millions of dollars are being invested in Fredericksburg. Also had lunch at the Altstadt Brewery today: Jagerschnitzel with a liter of their pilsener. They brew their beers in accordance with the German Purity Laws of 1516. Their pilsner reminded me of my favorite German beer, Konigsbacher Pils. Unfortunately, they don't export it, but this version was close enough.

If you find yourself in Driftwood (about an hour east of Fredericksburg), you owe it to yourself to visit Fall Creek Vineyards, Salt Lick BBQ, and La Trattoria Visina (which is next to the Duchman Family Vineyards.
