You lost me at “Erich von Danikin”

I was working decades ago in the Trinity College (Hartford, CT) IT department, assisting a student who said he was Erik Von Daniken's nephew. I responded that Erik Von Daniken was a nut cob. He calmly responded, "Yes. But very rich." I was impressed, as it was absolutely true. In fact, I spent about $8 on his books in fourth and fifth grade when they were new. I credit critical reading of his work (among other things) of inoculating me at a young age against all the paranormal stuff that was popular in the '70s.
