I remember Nicklaus in 1986, that was electric.

The game today lacks those kinds of personalities.

It’s your perspective, very few personalities have existed in golf, it’s a game that doesn’t lend itself to huge personalities, the rules and the galleries not cheering during shots, etc., Nicklaus was stoic for the most part.

Watching Greg Norman melt down multiple times at the Masters was fun to watch over the years, Tiger Woods was a personality, what separates golfers today from yesterday is how few can stand up under pressure, Nicklaus was the best, today there is so much money involved you don’t have to win to make millions, so players are content with finishing in the top 10 versus winning.
