I wonder if it's solely that. Jim Jones coerced a lot of seemingly nice and innocent people to drink the Kool-Aid at Jonestown.

So it seems to me that it’s the mental part of it that needs to be dealt with before anything else is even considered. Might save a lot of heartaches down the road when something that has been done cannot be corrected.
