too bad Fagan’s a big lib, very talented

There are even bigger dissonances. Roman Polanski is a pedophile and a rapist, and I still think "Chinatown" is one of the best movies ever made. Artists aren't their art, thankfully - and "Aja" is on my all-time list (as are "Gaucho" and "The Royal Scam"- Fagen and Becker in the late '70s were amazing).

I think the first 3/4 of Chinatown was pretty good, but then they just ruined it.
