Feminism - specifically victim feminism - was one of the first social movements to adopt the oppressor/oppressed filter formalized by Horkheimer as a part of Critical Theory. That implies that there should be a solidarity between oppressed classes that is not dependent on the nature of those classes, but only of the oppressor/oppressed dynamic. This lack of distinction is why we see such unlikely bedfellows as misogynist Muslim radicals and feminist radicals. It's a voluntary blindness that serves in place of actual discernment, an expression of emotion that the lazy substitute for reason. It is definitely not restricted to females but it is very typical of the unthinking Left. Reason itself - yes, Horkheimer actually said this - is an attribute of oppression.
And sure enough, stripped of the strictures of reason we see all sorts of weird apparitions among the screechers who appear in the media. You're welcome to tell a keffiyeh wearing feminist that she is behaving illogically and she'll tell you that logic is racist, sexist, misogynist, whatever the flavor of the day with respect to isms on campus. The wall is impenetrable.
