He wears a costume that emphasizes his rear and is quite a common swisher bar look. The new sidekick gal hints she is also gay.
I watched both new episodes, hoping the writing would make up for the gay crap.
But Babies in Space was about just that - god awful.
The second one, the Devil’s Cord, was just as stupid with really eye-hurting ?actress? who looks more like a heavy set guy in drag playing the bad guy, as child of the Toy Maker.
The theme picks up on the Toy Maker, with more of his ‘children’ to come in future episodes.
Show writer has just run out of ideas, even though the cannon is filled with take off points for new shows.
Only hope is that someone takes the show back and writes the story to say the past 2-3 doctors were in an alternate universe and it was destroyed.
The gay doctor emphasizes that he was not born on Gallifrey, but was born somewhere else and adopted. Further, he is the last of the Time Lords as his home was genocided (sic). He does not mention the Daleks as the cause during the Time War.
None of that makes any sense, as the Master who was presumably born on Gallifrey is still around somewhere. If the Doctor was not a Gallifrean, then how did he get 2 hearts and also become a Time Lord?
Just a DEI mess.
The Master destroyed Galifrey when he found out that the Doctor was from another Universe, and was the template for all the Time Lord’s. Chirnballs Doctor Who was boring.
Space Babies was meh. I liked The Devils Cord. The 3rd one is Moffats. He wrote all the Best episodes of the Rtd era.
Doctor Who needs another "wilderness period" like there was from 1989 to 2005. Then brought back by a BBC that hopefully will have come to its senses about the show. Have the new Doctor tell his companion "Oh I had twelve lives or so but it gets a little confusing after that. But enough about me, are those fish and chips I smell?" and that would be it to wipe out what came post-Capaldi.
