It’s just like the case from several years ago where the parents were dressing their youngest son up in dresses, and having him play with barbie dolls, etc because they already had a son, and wanted a daughter for their second child.
I wouldn't doubt it. It also provides attention and popularity to the parents. Being a supportive parent to a trans kid is "cool" in leftist circles. Sort of like Munchhausen by proxy, but rather than poison their body, they poison their mind. At least it starts with the mind, but eventually they poison the body. First with hormones and eventually by mutilation.
