Wallowing in feelings of guilt is really not necessary.

The soul-healing Sacrament of Penance is always available and efficacious for those who approach the confessional for the right reasons, and in the proper frame of mind.

went to Catholic school for 16 yrs...

the Catholic guilt is actually the constantly enforced idea that we are or should be involved in solving all poverty, ignorance and suffering in the world...

constant collections on Sunday for the poor or for missionaries...

teaching and nursing pushed...

remember in school the nuns had a little jar on their desk for dimes for the poor...

its what made Catholics pretty good citizens/volunteers/donors....

its white guilt that I never had though...so I guess I'm bad.../s/
