“Since the drilling equipment broke down, and reports suggest there wasn’t funding for such projects, and after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the entire facility was shut down.”
That’s the worrisome reason?
“That’s the worrisome reason?”
This annoys the heck out of me. If the title had been, “Russians stop drilling deepest hole ever,” it would get about x clicks. But put in some threatening wording and that can be multiplied by ten. That’s ten times the income. I’m sure a better and actually true to the article headline could be created if the author spent a few minutes on it. Maybe, “Unexpected discovery leads to deepest hole being sealed.” At least it isn’t a lie. But the actual reason was probably money.
Another pet peeve is those “See who died this year” videos and they show someone in the thumbnail who is really young and popular or important, like maybe Trump’s son. You watch the whole thing, and that person isn’t in it. I’ve learned most of the tricks and never click on anything with that kind of bait.
