Dem Senate candidate tells illegal immigrants how to evade law enforcement

Rep. Colin Allred, D-Texas, the Democratic nominee in the Texas Senate race, is handing out cards with instructions to help illegal immigrants evade law enforcement and potential deportation.

Allred handed out the "Know Your Rights Cards" during a recent campaign event with the Dallas County Democrat Party in early May, while running for the seat currently held by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

The red cards, viewed by Fox News Digital, explain how someone in the U.S. illegally can avoid immigration agents that are asking them questions or showing up at their door.

When asked about the distribution of such cards, Allred did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

"DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR if an immigration agent is knocking on the door," the first instruction reads.

"DO NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS from an immigration agent if they try to talk to you. You have the right to remain silent," says another.

Also included on the card distributed by Allred, "do not sign anything" and "if you are outside of your home, ask the agent if you are free to leave and if they say yes, leave calmly."

The cards are a product of the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, a group backed by the Open Society Foundations, which was founded by top-Democrat donor George Soros.

So true.

Another thing, many people (including repubs) are so caught up in the tired, archaic concept of all immigration being good that they don’t realize we are losing the vote through demographic changes.

I was checking out this DEM candidate from Florida on X. She is a proud 1st Gen child of immigrants from S America and totally left. She is more or less bragging how Florida is becoming a purple state and how close she is to taking Rick Scott’s seat.

The impeachment of Mayorkas has nothing to do with “policy disagreements”; it is first, last and only about a Cabinet official’s deliberate refusal to enforce laws as written, including 8 USC §1324.

That statute mandates felony criminal penalties carrying prison sentences for anyone who assists, harbors or transports illegal immigrants. Other sections of US law forbid the Federal Government and its agencies from “paroling” into the United States an illegal immigrant unless that have a facially-reasonable claim to asylum. There is no capacity in the law to permit DHS to do so simply because there are a lot of people illegally crossing.

(a) Criminal penalties
(1)
(A) Any person who—
(i) knowing that a person is an alien, brings to or attempts to bring to the United States in any manner whatsoever such person at a place other than a designated port of entry or place other than as designated by the Commissioner, regardless of whether such alien has received prior official authorization to come to, enter, or reside in the United States and regardless of any future official action which may be taken with respect to such alien;
(ii) knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, transports, or moves or attempts to transport or move such alien within the United States by means of transportation or otherwise, in furtherance of such violation of law;
(iii) knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation;
(iv) encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law; or
(v)
(I) engages in any conspiracy to commit any of the preceding acts, or
(II) aids or abets the commission of any of the preceding acts,
shall be punished as provided in subparagraph (B).
(B) A person who violates subparagraph (A) shall, for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs—
(i) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i) or (v)(I) or in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(ii), (iii), or (iv) in which the offense was done for the purpose of commercial advantage or private financial gain, be fined under title 18, imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both;
(ii) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(ii), (iii), (iv), or (v)(II), be fined under title 18, imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both;
(iii) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) during and in relation to which the person causes serious bodily injury (as defined in section 1365 of title 18) to, or places in jeopardy the life of, any person, be fined under title 18, imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both; and
(iv) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) resulting in the death of any person, be punished by death or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, fined under title 18, or both.

I must say that for a Law abiding U.S. Citizen who is not engaged in any illegal activity those cards provide very good advice. In fact if you replace "an immigration agent" with "a California Department of Justice agent" they are very similar to cards made available from the Calguns Foundation several years ago.

Basically they said if a CA DOJ agent shows up at your door, DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR. Ask to see a warrant. If the agent does not have a warrant tell him to come back with one. They will say they can easily obtain one but, if that were true they would have shown up with one.

If stopped in public by a CA DOJ agent ask "Am I being detained?" If they say "Yes." Then ask "On what charge?" If they say "No." Then tell him "So I am free to go?" and leave. If he tells you to stop then loop back to "Am I being detained?"
