That’s why there were concerts where he just didn’t show up. Can’t sugarcoat it by praising his talents.

There’s a story where someone in Japan offered a lot of money for them to come over and get the band back together. No one wanted to work with him. Heard it 3rd hand-wouldn’t surprise me.

Bottom line: Blacks do their own thing and don’t care what others think.

That's a ridiculous contentions. Black people? Do you really want list of all the white rock musicians who missed shows, or did much, much worse? I don't really have the time for three days of typing.

And it's not even rock, you could have a whole list of country musicians who missed shows.

Country singer George Jones was actually nicknamed "No Show Jones," for his propensity to do that.

Oh, and one about Hank Williams? He was known for missing his own shows - so much he was kicked out of the Grand Ole Opry because of it, and he's still not in it today.

Is Hank Williams black?
