Former President Trump on Wednesday said it was “not the time” for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) attempt to remove Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) from the top job in the House, warning the effort displayed “disunity” in an election year.
Trump gently criticized Greene, one of his most ardent supporters in the House, moments after the House overwhelmingly voted to torpedo the congresswoman’s measure to oust the GOP leader.
“I absolutely love Marjorie Taylor Greene. She’s got Spirit, she’s got Fight, and I believe she’ll be around, and on our side, for a long time to come,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “However, right now, Republicans have to be fighting the Radical Left Democrats, and all the Damage they have done to our Country.”
“With a Majority of One, shortly growing to three or four, we’re not in a position of voting on a Motion to Vacate,” Trump continued. “At some point, we may very well be, but this is not the time.”

Like I said in my post, “After Trump is elected”.
I love Trump but I’m not sure of his chess playing.
This reminds me of the RINOs running around saying - Now is not the time to Investigate Hunter Biden! Of course, there’d never was a good time, and they didn’t want anything to do with exposing Biden.
Mark my words, they crossed a line into new territory and Johnson is going to do serious damage to this country. Look up Hastert rule.
You’re empowering the RINOs and a new way of doing business, and beyond deflating the base and donations,
People are acting like Trump can tell him he’s no longer Speaker, and it doesn’t work like that. Mitch McConnell became Party Leader in 2006, almost 20 years ago.
it is likely he cut a deal involving supporting johnson.
Johnson, with Trump’s support, gave us more national bankruptcy, no greater protection of our easily violated border, spying on us without a warrant, and stopping free speech that the Deep State doesn’t like.
So Trump has now doubled down on these betrayals. I don’t see him winning the election after this.

“I won’t miss her!”
Will you miss the demise of Johnson?
Re: 7 - it’s not a sure bet that that’s the case. Trust but verify.
Re: 38 - that’s an excellent point. President Trump made clear in his statement that he does not have confidence in Speaker Johnson.
I should have said I have faith, not trust. Faith is all I have left. Trust is something an idiot had before the vax killed him.
The House overwhelmingly voted to torpedo the congresswoman’s measure to oust the GOP leader.
The list of who’s on the take.
Biden buddies better keep you back to the wall for what they have planed.
>>”If not now, then when?”
Fair question. Now here’s a fair answer. After the election. We’re risking more than just another spending bill or aid package if Jeffries becomes speaker.
