OT, but I’m going to steal that for my next response to the HOA. Welcome to my neighborhood—where they use the HOA management company as their secretary to write and send violation letters, but never cite the rules that were violated or look up the laws that would supercede any complaints and their rules.
Feel free.
When we were house hunting, we had several criteria about looking at places and an HOA was definitely a no go, no matter how perfect the place seemed to us otherwise.
I have good friends who have lived in places with HOA’s and they are very happy there. Whatever works for each person. For us, it was an immediate DQ on the property, before ANYTHING else was considered.
